Ryan Dalusung (She/They) is an American actor, born in the Philippine city of Makati and raised in the suburbs of Washington, DC. Inspired by her love of cinema, of theatrical storytelling, of actors and the actor’s process, she eventually sought deeper explorations into her identity and her artistic craft through a myriad of experiences—growing up in a Filipina household, performing in the theatre, working in public service, transitioning as an adult, and studying a breadth of acting methods, to name some, from Japanese Suzuki to the Strasberg method at the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute in New York.
Between performances, Ryan often enjoys a quiet lifestyle—seeing theatre, attending movie screenings and film festivals, cooking, taking weekend getaways, or simply enjoying city life.
Despite a modest body of work, Ryan’s grateful and privileged to have worked with a number of renowned artists in the past, like Colman Domingo at Baltimore's Everyman Theatre, or writer Kenneth Lin at DC's Arena Stage. She’s also worked extensively with the Library of Congress in Washington, DC, providing her voice talents as a narrator of written works for the blind reading community across the US.
Ryan is a member of the actors’ unions SAG-AFTRA and AEA.
